Fine Art to Wear
From Egypt to Erté, Alberta's fine art to wear takes you around the art-history globe.
- For impressionist fans, there are breathtaking treatments of Degas dancers in their studios as well as the famous lady in the red hat by Renoir.
- For those whose taste runs to the Art Deco, Alberta has designed a whimsical treatment of an Erté painting with a demi-monde's head on one earring and her feet on the other.
- Or, if you're a fan of Gustav Klimt, you'll want to see her treatment of several of his paintings, including “The Kiss”.
- Egyptian painting, in vivid teal greens and topaz, is another specialty of the artist, who has done astonishingly luminescent treatments of wall paintings on the tombs of Tutenkahmen and Nefretiti.
Creative Artistry
Hand-crafted decoupage jewelry by Alberta is one-of-a-kind and large enough to catch the eye. Each piece is custom-made, using detail from a piece of fine art work.
- Sizes are cut to templates of various shapes and sizes: round, half-moon, oval, tear-drop, rectangular, vertical panel, or square, etc.
- The artwork is then decoupaged and artistically enhanced— according to Alberta's fancy— by sequins, glitter, beads, small objects, gemstones, or occasionally even semi-precious stones.
- Earring backs, earring drops, clasps, or necklace loops are then added to make the art wearable.
